Planet Hell

An AI film trailer built on Veo 3.1 and Sora-2, showcasing the bleeding edge of AI video generation.

About the film

Planet Hell is an AI film trailer featuring the latest in AI video generation — Veo 3.1 and Sora-2 working in combination. The result is a cinematic piece built from the two most capable video models available at the time of production.

How it was made

Concepting started in Midjourney to establish the visual language and reference frames. Veo 3.1 (via Google Flow Ultra) handled the primary generation, particularly excelling at image-referenced dialogue scenes. Sora-1 was then used for a subtle video remix pass — adding motion and texture on top of the Veo base rather than generating from scratch. The final Topaz Astra pass cleaned up jank while preserving the Veo foundation.

Nano Banana was used for prompt ingredients and structuring, and voice performance was shaped carefully before generation. On the edit side, the timeline uses adjustment layers, film grain, bloom, and corner blur. Dehancer provided the cinematic film look in post.

The making-of masterclass below covers the concept, shot generation, remix passes, upscale workflow, the edit stack, and a transparent cost and time breakdown.
