About the film

The Bridge is an AI short film built entirely on Google’s Veo-2. The goal, as always, was to push storytelling, performance, and narrative forward in this emerging art form. Every shot uses Veo-2, with a few post-generation techniques layered on top.

The film went on to accumulate almost 400,000 views across platforms.

How it was made

Pre-production focused on prompt engineering and achieving visual consistency across shots — Veo-2’s superpower is image-referenced generation, which was central to maintaining a coherent look. An LLM was used in the scripting phase to develop the story structure.

Audio production involved ElevenLabs for voice, with Hedra handling lip sync. Hume contributed to the voice performance work. Topaz Video was used for upscaling. The poster was made with Recraft. Post-production ran in Premiere Pro.

The production breakdown below covers every step — pre-production, AI tool selection, prompt engineering, visual consistency techniques, audio and lip sync, upscaling, and the full cost breakdown compared to traditional filmmaking.
